The Government of the Sverdlovsk region and the Russian Railways at the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum agreed to develop the railway infrastructure to support the activity of the special economic zone Titanium Valley.

The document was signed by Governor of the Sverdlovsk region Yevgeny Kuyvashev, CEO - Chairman of the Management Board of Russian Railways Oleg Belozerov and General Director of Titanium Valley Special Economic Zone Artemy Kyzlasov.

The parties intend to work together to create a railway infrastructure for current and potential residents of Titanium Valley. We are talking about the construction of non-public railway tracks between Verkhnyaya Salda station and the territory of the special economic zone, as well as the development of public infrastructure at the point of junction of the new road.

“Existing and prospective residents of the special economic zone are interested in ensuring that railway tracks are as close as possible to the place of production. Thus, optimal conditions will be created for companies to work, attract new investors, and improve the business climate in the region,” - the governor said.

The General Director of the Titanium Valley SEZ Artemy Kyzlasov noted:

“Today we have two large potential residents who are planning to receive status this year. Therefore, today the signing of the agreement and the beginning of the construction of the railway in the special economic zone Titanium Valley is of particular importance for us".

Russian Railways and the government of the Sverdlovsk region will consider the possibility of concluding an appropriate concession agreement.
