Rockwool, one of the global leaders within the insulation industry, produced in SEZ “Alabuga” over 5 mln. packages of a new generation insulation material - Light Batts Scandic.

For the first time the stone wool insulation Light Batts Scandic was presented by Rockwool in 2012. With this product company pursued two important goals: to create a new material with innovative characteristics and to create a product that can be comfortable in transportation and use. So, two sizes of packages were proposed to the customers -  the standard one 800x600, fitting easily in a car trunk, and an enlarged XL size 1200x600, allowing to expedite installation process that is especially important for insulation of large areas.

“Innovations penetrate our life to make it easier and more comfortable. We are pleased to note that a lot of people, who insulated their houses within the past one year and a half, have chosen our innovative and comfortable materials of Light Batts Scandic. By this day we have already sold more than one million of packages all over the Russian territory. It’s important to mention that more often customers choose the 100 mm thick boards. Considering the effectiveness, it’s the ideal size”, - says Irina Sadchikova, marketing and strategic development director at Rockwool Russia.

Today the Light Batts Scandic is being produced at the Rockwool’s plant in SEZ “Alabuga” in Tatarstan, but next year its production will be also launched at the company’s plant in Vyborg, North-West Russia
